Tariffs

Tariff debits follow the instructions of The Natural Gas Authority. The summary of the company’s license is as follows:

“The distribution and connection tariffs will be imposed on consumers and all marketers, per interest, and will be collected without prejudice, and among others, without considering the marketer’s identity from whom the consumers purchase the natural gas”.

Consumer Definitions:

“Large Consumer” – A consumer who receives services for annual consumption of natural gas exceeding 1,000,000 cubic meters;
“Medium Consumer” - A consumer who receives services for annual consumption of natural gas exceeding 100,000 cubic meters and does not exceed 1,000,000 cubic meters;
“Small Consumer” - A consumer who receives services for annual consumption of natural gas exceeding 10,000 cubic meters and does not exceed 100,000 cubic meters;
“Very Small Consumer” - A consumer who receives services for annual consumption of natural gas that does not exceed 10,000 cubic meters;
“Distant Consumer” – A distant consumer is defined as one of the following:
Very small consumer and small consumer, where the distance between himself and the distribution network exceeds 300 meters;

(1)   Medium consumer, where the distance between himself and the distribution network exceeds 3,000 meters;

(2)   Large consumer, where the distance between himself and the distribution network exceeds 6,000 meters;

An update of the connection and distribution tariffs will be conducted according to the license granted to the company by the Ministry of National Infrastructures, paragraphs 48-49.

Connection Tariffs 

The one-time tariffs collected by the company during the license period for connecting consumers to the natural gas distribution network are as follows:

  • Connection of large consumers – 86,322 NIS (the amount presented by the company in the offer);
  • Connection of medium consumers – 53,951 NIS (the amount presented by the company in the offer);
  • Connection of small consumers – 2,465 NIS;
  • Connection of very small consumers – 1,479 NIS.

The company may collect an additional connection fee for the connection of a distant consumer to the distribution network.

The additional fee that the company will collect for connecting a distant consumer will be the sum of 227 NIS per meter (the price set by the company in the offer) multiplied by the number of meters distant from the gas distribution point, as mentioned in paragraph 46.2 in the license granted to the company by the Ministry of National Infrastructures. The stated sum will be updated according to the instructions in paragraph 49.

Distribution Tariffs

The tariffs that the company will collect throughout the license period (subject to paragraph 48) for natural gas distribution services will be the tariffs stated in the offer, in reference to the consumer consumption category (very small consumer, small consumer, medium consumer or large consumer) as follows:

  • For a large consumer – 0.1491 NIS (the price set by the company in the offer) for a cubic meter of natural gas;
  • For a medium consumer – 0.1506 NIS (the price set by the company in the offer) for a cubic meter of natural gas;
  • For a small consumer – 0.1711 NIS (the price set by the company in the offer) for a cubic meter of natural gas;
  • For a very small consumer – 0.1777 NIS (the price set by the company in the offer) for a cubic meter of natural gas;

Notes Regarding the Distribution Tariffs in Centeral Region

  • Should the overall amount of gas transmitted though the network to consumers in a particular year rise beyond 450 million sqare meters, the distrubution fees shal be deducted, starting on January 1 of the following year, at rate of 60 percent.
  • Should the overall amount of gas transmitted though the network to consumers in a particular year rise beyond 600 million sqare meters, the distrubution fees shal be deducted, starting on January 1 of the following year, at rate of 75 percent.
  • The fees shall be updated once in 6 months, or in the event that the index basket changed by more than 4% from the last day it was updated - whichever is sooner.
